WPR – Wyoming Public Radio is a radio station in Laramie, Wyoming. WPR is a public radio network, it is the state’s only member of National Public Radio and an affiliate of Public Radio International, sources of such favorite programs such as A Prairie Home Companion, The Thistle and Shamrockit’s. Wyoming Public Radio is owned by the University of Wyoming and heard approximately two-thirds of the state, including the communities of Laramie, Casper, Cheyenne, Rock Springs, Green River, Evanston, Jackson, Lander, Riverton, Cody, Powell, Rawlins, Dubois, Gillette, Sheridan, Newcastle and Torrington on 23 radio transmitters and on the internet. WPR broadcasts news, classical music and contemporary music. WPR is committed to providing classical music and other fine arts programming to entertain, inform and enrich the Wyoming region. Favorites from classical music’s masters as well as less widely known treasures from the repertoire combine to provide a rich and enlightening musical journey for WPR‘s listeners.
