WDPR 88.1 FM – Classical Public Radio Station in Dayton – is licensed to West Carrollton, Ohio. WDPR serves the Dayton area. The station is owned by Dayton Public Radio. Dayton Public Radio begins broadcasting at 6:00 a.m. weekdays with Morning Concert and continuing through the afternoon and evening with a variety of local hosts. WDPR is committed to providing classical music and other fine arts programming to entertain, inform and enrich the Dayton’s region.
WDPR broadcasts the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Bach Society of Dayton and in addition, WDPR-FM and its simulcast WDPG-FM bring the rest of the world into the Miami Valley by broadcasting wonderful programs, such as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Metropolitan Opera and the Chicago Symphony.
WDPR also reaches the north and west areas, including Lima, Ohio, and Fort Wayne and Richmond, Indiana areas via a repeater station at 89.9 FM (WDPG).
