KING 98.1 FM is a classical music radio station in Seattle, Washington. KING-FM’s transmitter is located in Issaquah, Washington. Broadcaster Dorothy Bullitt created KING in 1948 specifically to provide the Northwest with classical music. Till 1992 KING was owned by King Broadcasting Company, where Dorothy Bullitt was a leader till 1989, when she was died. From 1992 the station is owned by a non-profit partnership of the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Opera and ArtsFund known as Beethoven, A Non-Profit Corporation.
Each weekday evening starting at 8 p.m. KING-FM brings a listner music with a Northwest Focus, a look at some of the great concerts, which a person can attend in the week ahead.

The Compline Service live from St. Mark’s Cathedral, Sunday nights at 9:30PM
The Organ Loft, which is hosted by Roger Sherman, The Organ Loft features music of northwest choirs and organs, composers and organ builders. The first broadcast was on KING-FM in 1993.
