WRTI 90.1FM is a listener-supported radio located on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia.
WRTI broadcasts on a frequency of 90.1 FM and is repeated throughout eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. WRTI organized in 1948 as a campus AM radio, RTI meaning “Radio Technical Institute” because the station planed to be student labratory. In 1969 WRTI switched to an all-jazz format and in 1997 it added classical music.
The station’s programs are divided between classical music and Real Jazz. The stream simulcasts day classical programming, and from 6 pm to 6 am it switches to a variety of classical programming that is offered on HD-2 radio channel.
