KOSU 91.7 FM – Oklahoma Public Radio – serves the Oklahoma City. The station began broadcasting in 1955. KOSU broadcasts National Public Radio (NPR) news, classical music and a variety of weekend programming, such as “A Prairie Home Companion” with Garrison Keillor. It is owned by Oklahoma State University. With the help of two of the largest public radio stations in the state, Oklahoma Public Radio KOSU “OPR” broadcasts on 91.7 in central Oklahoma, on 107.5 in northeast Oklahoma and on 101.9 in Okmulgee 24 hours a day. KOSU also uses a nationally syndicated classical music service dedicated to live classical music programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
