Classical 94.5 FM WNED is located in Buffallo, New York. WNED-FM also reaches the Jamestown (New York) via a repeater station at 89.7 FM (WNJA). WNED-FM was launched in 1960 as WEBR-FM, in the early 1970’s it was renamed WBCE and then WREZ and then in 1975 WEBR-AM. In 1977 this station got th name WNED-FM and began offering a classical music format. WNED‘s classical broadcasts are the most appealing classical music from every era, with special emphasis on new releases and music of timely interest. Great works – broadcast complete – by the foremost composers are complemented by intriguing discoveries from the past and certainly the best of today’s compositions. WNED-FM is also the radio home of A Prairie Home Companion in the Buffalo area. WNED-FM broadcasts only classical music 24 hours weekdays.
